These are my sketches i have been using to help me throughout my process in ceramics II.
My lidded vessel was made from slabs I rolled out and put together. I poked many holes throughout it, giving it texture.
My slabs I made dealing with the left and right side of the brain. The right side is the creative side which will have color throughout it. The left side has ancent writing for the smart side. This piece is created by Mike Schmidt. I believe the clay was stacked on top of each other in different thicknesses and put together. I really like this piece because of how the colors interact with one another.I believe this piece was layered with the two different colors and smeared/blended together roughly on the wheel to create these pieces. I like it because its odd. It reminds me of a different planets landscape.Linda Neubauer was the creator of this piece. It seems to be dipped in Glaze. It seemed to be fired in a regular kilm. This ceramic piece was created by Tiffany Hofmann Rees. The obscures sense of it makes it very appealing and noticeable. The uneven houses and how they've formed makes you look a little loner. I believe this piece was made from slabs This ceramic piece was created by Wendy Lawrence. The curve of it and the smooth texture on the inside makes it look like it was created on the wheel. The outside surface makes it come to life, in a way like the ocean. |
Nicole BelangerI am a creative person with many different perspectives of art. Ceramics is a way for me to go beyond my 2D art skills and create something I can actually use instead of just admire. ArchivesCategories |
